Ume Co will donate 1% of all revenue into the Ume Foundation

The Ume Foundation will primarily focus on the following types of charitable work and investments:

  • Climate change initiatives.
  • Not-for-profits & charities committed to improving work & livelihoods.
  • Other community focused not-for-profits & charities.

Ume will reach out to Ume Community members to help them co-design parts of the Ume Foundation, by asking which charitable pursuits are important to our members.

The Ume Foundation will be launched post-pilot phase.

The Ume Foundation will be operated as a separate standalone not-for-profit entity and will be independently audited.

Ume Community and Ume Marketplace members will be provided access to the results of any audits. Ume Community members will also be notified of the performance and impact of the donations made to the environmental and charity projects supported by the Ume Foundation.

Ume Co VC Fund

Ume Co is planning to launch a Venture Capital (VC) Fund within the first 2 years of operation.

The Ume VC Fund will focus on supporting the innovative ideas of selected Ume Community members and Ume Marketplace shopfront sellers.

Ume Co VC Funds will invest in businesses in any of the following stages of development:

  • Pre-launch Stage
  • Launch Stage
  • Incubation Stage
  • Acceleration Stage

Ume Community members may also be invited to invest in these businesses and ideas in the future. Any Ume Community members who have invested in the Ume VC Fund will be invited to help co-design the Ume VC Fund.

Ume Reward Points and Ume$ Virtual Wallet

Ume will offer an Ume Rewards Point Program and Ume$ Virtual Wallet within the Ume Community.

Ume Reward Points
Ume Co will offer reward points to members to encourage them to be “Super Participants”.

  • “Super Participants” are Ume Members who participate at a high level within the Ume Community:
  • They contribute substantial content pieces (articles, blogs, videos, podcasts) to the Ume Community Website,
  • They review products/services, give testimonials and recommendations,
  • They invite new members to join, and
  • They act as a facilitator for their Circle of Connection or run the Reflective Practices within their circles.
  • Manage Events for Ume
  • Conduct New Member Welcome Calls

In the Pilot Phase the Ume Rewards program will be structured as follows:

Create Original Content (Podcast, Blog, Video or Article) for the Ume Community. NB: This has to be original Content, not just reposting someone else’s content and must be substantial content, not just a post.

100 Ume Reward Points per piece of original content

Circle of Connection Facilitator / Manage Event / Welcome Call etc

Act as a Facilitator for their or another Circle of Connection.

Manage and Facilitate an Ume Event.

Conduct a New Member Welcome Call.

500 Ume Reward Points per Circle/Event/Welcome Call conducted.

No limit per month

Ume Reward Points will expire in 6 months if not used. 

Ume$ and Virtual Wallet
Ume will also combine our rewards program with a virtual wallet.  Each Ume Member will have a Ume Virtual Wallet, which will allow reward points to be converted into Ume$’s.  Ume$’s can then be “spent” on Ume Marketplace purchases or on their Ume Membership Fees.

100 Ume Reward Points equal UME$1.  Rewards points will be immediately converted into Ume$ and placed into their virtual wallet.

Ume Members can also purchase Ume$’s, which can reside in their virtual wallet.  Conversion Rate: Ume$1 = AU$1

Ume Members cannot redeem UME$’s for cash.


Presently, Ume Co Pty Ltd is not looking for any external investment.

This may, however, change in the future.

Ume Co takes climate change, the environment and sustainability very seriously.

As such, we use Ecologi to be a climate positive workforce.

What does that mean?

By paying a monthly fee for each of our employees (including founders, shareholders and board members) to Ecologi we achieve the following for Ume Co:

  • Employee carbon footprint offset. So, each of our employees is climate positive. This means we are offsetting each employee’s entire carbon footprint, including emissions from their home, personal travel, holidays, food, hobbies and more.
  • All business travel offset.

How do Ecologi make Ume Co a climate positive workforce? Ecologi plant trees & fund climate projects so each month Ume Co will be planting trees in our own company forest, plus financing carbon reduction projects from around the world.

At the same time, we will also be ensuring that Ume Co business operations have minimal climate change impact, as follows:

  • Where possible Ume Co will only use green energy providers.
  • Where possible Ume Co will only partner with companies that have a proven environmental protection record, or who are making changes to reduce their climate change impact.
  • Offerings on the Ume Marketplace must have no or low climate change impact.
  • The Ume Foundation will only donate to organisations that do no harm to the environment.
  • The Ume Co VC Fund will only invest in organisations that do no harm to the environment.

Ume Co is committed to establish and maintain adequate and effective data security measures for our members and to ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and operational availability of information is not compromised.

As best as possible, sensitive information will be protected from unauthorized disclosure, modification, access, use, destruction or delay in service.

Ume Co’s data security goals and objectives are:

  • Protect information from unauthorized access or misuse;
  • Ensure the confidentiality of information;
  • Maintain the integrity of information;
  • Maintain the availability of information systems and information for service delivery;
  • Comply with regulatory, contractual and legal requirements;
